Abstract

One of the most popular approaches for security purposes, whether it is to register attendance or unlock your phone, is facial recognition technology. Everyone has unique qualities that cannot be imitated or stolen, which makes this system unique. For keeping track of attendance in classrooms, universities, and workplaces, this technique is quite helpful since it is simple, quick, less likely to be faked than the manual, conventional technique, and most significantly, contactless. Our proposed system is developed by testing three different algorithms: Local Binary Pattern Histogram(LPBH), Visual Gometric Group 16 (VGG16), and face recognition, with consideration of our fellow classmates. We have developed a website that will replace a teacher in order to identify student’s faces and record them in an Excel file that can be downloaded by the concerned staff
