Abstract

Despite the heavy usage of cloud computing in various fields, the\nissues related to latency, support to mobility and location awareness remains\nunsolved. The term fog computing is also known as fogging or fog networking.\nThe computing infrastructure is decentralized where data, compute, storage and\napplications can be distributed in an efficient place logically between the cloud\nand the data source. The fog computing extends cloud computing and services to\nthe edge of the network. This brings the advantages and the strength of the cloud\ncloser to where data has been created. The manufacturing industry gets sufficient\nbenefits, when the industrial operators use the Industrial Internet of Things\n(IIoT), which in turn increases the productivity, revenue opportunities in\nbusiness, etc. This survey paper discusses the access control, concepts, security\nand privacy issues of fog computing in the industry sector. It also highlights the\nchallenges and opportunities, as part of future enhancements in the printing and\npublishing industry.
