Abstract

A wearable antenna is supposed to be a part of the clothing used for communication purpose. The wearable\nantenna can undergo different cases of bending and crumpling. This paper describes the effect of milli bends on reflection\ncoefficient S11 along the patch length of a wearable antenna using Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Method. In this\nwork, milli bends at particular angle in the beginning, middle and end of a wearable patch antenna are considered. Three milli\nbends along the length of wearable antenna are modeled using FDTD method and their effect on reflection coefficient is\npresented. Results demonstrated the noticeable change in the reflection coefficient and resonant frequency of the antenna.
